Experience
I have five semesters of teaching and tutoring experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Kansas State University. I recently won a graduate student teaching award for excellence in the classroom. Most of my teaching experience is with the Biology 198 class (Principles of Biology). This course brings in a diverse group of students from many backgrounds, so I have learned to be able to tailor my teaching style to your experience and most effective mode of learning. Most of my graduate coursework was in ecological modeling, population biology, plant physiology, and advanced parametric and nonparametric statistics. Since I have yet to be rated as a tutor, I am offering one free hour of tutoring as a start-up bonus for someone who may need it.
