My experience as a Spanish tutor is from hands on work with the language as I was exposed to it living in the southern most part of Mexico. There I spoke the language for 2 years and interacted with the latino culture. Prior to this opportunity I studied the language to familiarize myself with spanish grammar and vocabulary. Since my return I have interpreted spanish during parent teacher conferences from time to time and once I tutored to help a couple of seventh graders get there grades up while in a challenging gifted program. My students were successful in boasting there grades from D's to B's in just over 2 months!
