Through Kansas State University I have completed 2 semesters of an Expository writing class. I have currently completed Math for Elementary School Teachers which has refreshed my skills in basic math. I have worked 1 year in a kindergarten class and 1 year in a 3rd grade class where I assisted in giving state assessments and helped with assessment preparation. I want to be a tutor because having someone there to explain a topic can help so much. I want to make students have a lightbulb go off in their head about a subject that maybe was not there before. Sometimes you just need another person to explain a subject if you are not understanding the way your teacher does. I want to be that person.
